“Legendary” Brings It Back to the Ball in Sickening New Season 2 Trailer
One of HBO Max's biggest hits is back for a sickening second round.
Legendary, the streamer's ballroom competition series, returns for Season 2 next month — and judging by the first trailer, the competition looks even more fierce this time around. Ten new houses will compete for the $100,000 prize, and that's not all that's fresh.
Master of ceremonies Dashaun Wesley returns along with Leiomy Maldonado, Jameela Jamil, Law Roach and Megan Thee Stallion. But this season's extra-special guest judges include Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Amiyah Scott, Nicco Annan, Normani, Adam Lambert, and Demi Lovato.
Legends only!
In case you need a refresher, here’s the show’s official description: “Legendary turns modern-day ball culture into a competition, featuring divas battling on teams called Houses in challenges involving fashion, dance, and voguing. Each house is comprised of five performers and a leader. The nine-episode series features the teams facing off against one another for a trophy and cash prize. Each episode features a different themed ball and extensive footage of the competitors preparing behind the scenes.”
Last year, Jamil's casting announcement received backlash because people were upset her spot as a judge didn’t go to a queer person with knowledge of the ballroom scene. (The British star of NBC’s The Good Place eventually came out as queer, later admitting the timing of her news was a “perfect clusterfuck.”)
